INDUSTRIAL PLANT

UP-GRADE EXISTING PLANTS

The procedure was applied in 2007 by a dyeing factory TiBel Spa of CALZEDONIA Italian group in Verona (Italy). The factory had a wastewater treatment plant previously installed which, due to the strong structurals and technological limits, could not guarantee the law parameters required for the final discharge on surface water body. The up- grade consisted in installing, inside the existing areation tanks, the patented system in order to start a double stage Bioflottazione plant with sedimentation, reusing also the other existing sections (homogenization, chemical-physical, sedimentation, electric panel box) with proper adaptations.

The treated waters are then discharged in surface water body.

Plant structure

 
- Pretreatments: Fine screenig, equalization and  pH adjusting with boiler fumes
- First phase: High pressure Bioflottazione
- Second phase: Sedimentation with chemicals
   

Automation

 
- Operation: The plant automatically runs the different parameters as flow rate, tank volumes, chemicals dosing related to the actual factory water consumption, weekly and vacations working shifts
- Remote control:

The plant can be completely monitored by a remote computer and it is also possible downloading data of all process and plant parameters in “csv” format

   

Results

 
- Average out COD: 100 mg/l
- Average out BOD5: 20 mg/l
- Average out SST: 5 mg/l

DOUBLE STAGE PLANT WITH PATENTED FLOTATOR

The plant is installed by the industrial laundry MEWA Srl in Turbigo (MI) of a multinational german group MEWA. The double stage Bioflottazione plant was built and started up in 2004 and was expanded in early 2009. The plant is made up with an oxygenization tank with a low number of nozzles to work as homogenization phase, a Bioflottazione tank (to be doubled with the enlargement) for the biological removal of the organic load followed by a patented Flotation Reactor for the final treatment before the discharge to the municipal sewerage system.

The waste waters, before being fed to the homegenization tank of the double stage Bioflottazione plant, under go some necessary chemical-physical pretreatments given their aggressive and very low biodegradabilty origin; in facts, cloths coming from different industrial activities (workshops, petrol-chemical sites, restaurants, etc.) are charged to the laundry process.

- Operation: The plant is very flexible in order to guarantee an optimal process running, in fact, the treatment tanks can work in series, parallel or indipendent, furthermore the water can be pumped from a tank to another-one for maintenance or other necessities

The plant is completely controlled from remote panel
